First time runners!

Yat’s and the Gang! On the Run!

I remember the last time I made a blog about running stuff. And now finally I knew what the real thing about joining in this event!

July 18, 2010, nice weather for the first time runner like me, it was a cloudy Sunday and I was in The fort together with my friends to join in the event of “One Run One Family One La Salle” it’s a fun run for the benefit of the “One Million Trees” Campaign of La Salle..

Me, and my friends Azza, Cris, Kux, Paul, Tanya and batch mate karen joined in a 3k run, everyone is excited from different La Salle Schools, students, professors, alumni’s were yelling at the starting lane,6:05 am the 3k run was started. On the half of the race some of them started to get tired, and started to walk, some are thirsty and some are complaining about their legs maybe most of us are first timers....


Anyway the event was fun, the people are friendly and the gang was full of energy though most of us were hungry and last is the great bonding. Thanks to Kux who always make us laugh! =D laugh trip all the way after the run...

and finally after a few months of curiosity about fun run I finally made it together and run with my closest friends! I'm planning it before the last time I made a blog about it, but since I don’t have time and I don’t know who’s the one I could grabbed to joined with me coz most of us are busy, I’ll just wait for the right time to come. And it happened! I love my will power! =)

It was a self fulfilling when we finished the 3k, even though were not that so good, and our legs get hurt for 2 days and I don’t know how to stepped down the stairs of LRT because of the pain  but still we had fun. And were planning again to join in another fun run! Woooohoooo! I can’t wait!

THE END OF FACELESS BRAND



Brand for many of us is an identity of the product. Before having a good brand name made a good profit for a company. It’s easy for them to promote it in the market, and by using the 3 traditional ads which are Television, Prints, and Radio they invest a lot to make ads for the product. But within this traditional ad campaign they reach limited customers, because not all people have time to watch television because nowadays both men and women are now working, they are the typical people who leave early in the morning in their house and came home late.  Maybe they’ve seen some ads campaign through billboards but it’s limited. Those are some fact that the company didn’t notice. If your product is a well known brand like for example “Bench” they also used the traditional ads campaign but for some maybe the “Bench” company no need to advertise, why? Because it is a well establish brand and people already tried their product and still go back in their store to buy their stuff. They also used a celebrity endorser to endorse their product. But what about the faceless brand? Before if you are a company and owning a product which is not well known in the market your company is at risk. But now because of the new technology there are many things we can do through the use of internet.  And you don’t need higher amount of money to advertise your product; in a virtual world only thing you need is to know how to make an ad in the net, and it’s up to you also as a company owner if you want a paid advertisement or not.  Like in Seven Eleven which is their Big bite” before their Big bite product is not a well known product, you will only know about if someone told you to try to taste it. In that way it is also the way of transferring information to others through word of mouth. Another one is the Bayantel Lola Techie ad campaign in television, now they enter in a new world which is the virtual world they create a fan page for the endorser(lola techie), even the twitter, and plurk, through this campaign they create a big traffic and they reach thousands of people through internet.

Having a faceless brand today is not a big issue, its up only to the company what strategies they will use to promote their product. Especially for those companies who can’t afford to use the traditional ad campaign, they can enter in the internet world and place their ad for free. Great imagination and creativity is the only key to be successful, and entering in virtual world is the answer for those who want to promote their product. And there are many social networking sites which are free, like facebook, multiply, friendster etc. they can even post their product in the other sites which also free and plus the fact that right now the number of internet users here in the Philippines are continue rising.

Cell Phone all in one!


Many of the consumers nowadays depend on a cellphone which have more features.  Promegranate NS08, this phone has lots of features, it is actually a functional phones with coffee brewer, video projector, live voice translator, harmonica and even shave, this are only the additional feature of this Promegranate NS08 where you can't find in any other phone. But the question is is this for real?

Actually the campaign was good, and quite interesting, in this kind of advertisement it caught the attention of thousands of people in the internet world and all over the world, the company spend too much for this ad campaign which became really successful. The Promegranate Phone ad  campaign was part of the Nova Scotia which spend $300,000.
Nova Scotia is one of the small province in Southeastern Canada. The ad was to promote the small province for the tourist, the government of Nova Scotia need to find a unique way to promote their place, and they come up with this kind of ad where people are very into a newest and latest smartphones.

All in all the ad campaign was pure fake but in the end it is really an eye catching campaign. Because thousands of people keep on searching about the phone just to look what's best features about it.
And in this ad they reach not only the people from Canada but all over the world to inform and to promote the place of Nova Scotia.
